Nicholas Alexander “Nick” Geffen is the life-oholic hybrid produced by tossing a health freak, arts geek, philosophy fanatic and nature nerd into a solar-powered blender.
He matriculated with full distinctions from Westerford High School in 2013, qualified as an ESL teacher from the Cape Town TESOL Training Institute in 2017, and has worked both as a bookseller (with Bargain Books) and tutor (with Teach Me 2 and BrightSparkz) since 2014.
Nick has produced art commissions, and composed, performed and recorded with various musicians (e.g. the duo Nick and Angus, and the trio Mixed Riots). He currently maintains an online portfolio of poetry, essays and memoirs.
The rest of his time he divides between the gym and the forest. His vegan cooking has gained a fair reputation (with people of unquestionable taste), as has the regrowth rate of his fabulous/preposterous ginger hair.
He currently majors in Environmental Science and English Literature at the University of Cape Town, and hopes to teach secondary English and Geography, in the not-too-distant future, while excavating fresh novels from his hiving head.
